I’ve always been interested in analyzing YouTube for marketing purposes. These days, like many others, I’m finding that people are searching on YouTube more often than Google. YouTube has become a platform where people react quickly to new news or trending topics. It’s almost like the most useful information is generated there first. And honestly, I think it might be the last kind of content to be replaced by AI.

Anyway, the YouTube app I built is specifically designed for marketing. Users can input a request, and the LLM will understand it and pull out the most relevant keywords for searching. Using those keywords, the app accesses the YouTube API to get videos. The idea is to provide marketing insights through a few rounds of analysis.

With this, you can effectively manage YouTube trends. You can see what people are saying about your brand and quickly develop a response strategy. I was curious about how people are talking about our brand and who they are. This app is a comprehensive solution to that. Right now, it pulls in 10 YouTube videos, but I’m considering expanding that to 50 or even 100 as the API allows, because more data means better insights.

The YouTube analysis tool (beta version) is available for anyone to use right now.

Currently, I’m coding a tool to map social media buzz in different areas. It’s a really interesting project because knowing what’s trending locally not only tells you where the hot spots are, but also has huge potential for local marketing.

See you soon~
